Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT) Installation in Dublin

LVT flooring fitting for kitchens, bathrooms and busy rooms, including subfloor checks and a fully bonded or click-fit installation.

About the service

A water-resistant floor fitted to a checked subfloor

LVT is a practical option for kitchens, bathrooms and hallways where a hard-wearing, water-resistant floor is needed. Dublin Surface Works checks the subfloor and confirms whether a glued-down or click-fit LVT system suits the room.

01

Subfloor & levelling

The base is checked for level and moisture, as LVT typically needs a smoother subfloor than other floor types.

02

Fitting system

Glued-down or click-fit LVT is chosen to suit the room, subfloor and expected use.

03

Wet areas & edges

Kitchens, bathrooms and other wet areas are considered for sealing at edges, thresholds and around fittings.

Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT): good to know

Is LVT suitable for kitchens and bathrooms?
Yes, LVT is commonly chosen for kitchens, bathrooms and hallways because it is water-resistant, subject to the subfloor and installation method being suited to the room.
Does LVT need a perfectly flat subfloor?
LVT generally needs a smoother, flatter subfloor than laminate or wood, so levelling compound is sometimes needed before fitting.
Glued-down or click-fit LVT: which is better?
It depends on the room, subfloor and expected foot traffic. We'll recommend the system that suits your space during the survey.
Can LVT be fitted over tiles or an existing floor?
In some cases, subject to checking the existing floor's condition, level and suitability during the survey.
How long does LVT take to fit?
This depends on the room size, subfloor preparation needed and the fitting method chosen. Timing is confirmed after the survey.
