Does laminate need special underlay?
Yes. The underlay is chosen based on the subfloor type, any damp-proofing needed and noise requirements between floors.
Can laminate be fitted over an existing floor?
In some cases, subject to checking the existing floor's condition, height and levelness during the survey.
What happens at doorways and between rooms?
Thresholds and transition strips are used to finish laminate cleanly against tiles, carpet or other flooring types.
How long does laminate flooring take to fit?
This depends on the room size, preparation needed and whether old flooring is being removed. Timing is confirmed after the survey.
